Making Men For This Hour

About us

Men have always known. Most have forgotten.

Integral Man is a brotherhood for men who suspect the path back to themselves runs through what they’ve been avoiding, not around it.

The work is grounded in Christian principles – repentance, forgiveness, redemption, responsibility – but it isn’t a conversion programme. Men of any background, any belief, or none are welcome. What’s required is a willingness to stop avoiding the heavy questions

Most men know what they are carrying. Few say it out loud. We make space for the saying. Brotherhood, honest conversation, prayer, silence, physical demand. A weekend off the phone and away from the noise. Then the return home, where the real work begins.

It is not therapy. Not a retreat. Not a workshop. Something older and harder than all three.

Founded by four men with forty-plus years between them doing this work. A UK Community Interest Company. Not a charity. Not a course. A brotherhood.

What our people say

It's not the men's work you want. It's the men's work you need.

Mental Health Nurse, 33
Integral Man weekend attendee

After Integral Man I asked my brother out for a pint. For the first time in years we sat down and talked openly about the loss of our Dad and our struggles in current life. We've now agreed to make it a regular thing, no excuses. I don't think I would have led our conversation in that direction had it not been for my experience at Integral Man.

A great opportunity to rediscover your heritage and explore your relationship with faith. Through a programme set up by men who care about our community, history and the well being of other men. Men of all faiths and none are welcome.

A powerful weekend to look at my place in an unravelling modern culture, deepening my purpose and life meaning for the current times.

The work

Older than self-help. Harder than therapy.

Four men with forty-plus years between them doing this work. Mentoring, leadership programmes, rites of passage, brotherhood in its older sense – the kind men used to inherit by default and now have to find on purpose.

What we know is simple. A man’s life rises or falls on the questions he’s willing to face. The questions he avoids find him later. The load he refuses gets carried by his children. The brotherhood he never builds is the one he most needs.

The weekend is built around this.

Three days. Phones surrendered. Brotherhood, honest conversation, prayer, silence, physical demand. A night alone in the woods with the questions you’ve been outrunning. Then the return home, where the real work begins.

It is hard on purpose. Anything easier wouldn’t do the job.

Open to men of any background, any belief, or none.
